Iridescent

I often dream of lavender skies,
Where my heart does rest its eyes,
For its presence graces me with bliss,
Oh, here there is not much I’d miss,

My soul yearns to watch the sea,
Whose turbulent currents wave at me,
Upon which the sun does sleep,
As I see crepuscular rays peep,

Scanning the iridescent clouds,
I make my way throughout the crowds,
Of the sand between my toes,
As I try to grasp these fire rainbows,

Reflected in my eyes of bewilderment,
Is everything I’ve ever dreamt,
Oh, this is where my life begins,
And I’ve been here ever since.
