The Clouds

I have always lived gazing at the sky,
For within the sea of blue, something catches my eye,
A floating mass of snow cotton candy,
I wonder if it could withstand me,
For I wish to grasp it in my arms,
The mist that takes up many forms,
Drifting as a lost balloon,
I ask it to carry me to the moon,
Who urges me to come back down to earth,
As my conviction right from birth,
Is that everything will eventually go my way,
And my head is up in the clouds, always,
Oh, but this moon shall soon learn,
That everything that I do yearn,
Shall come to me with open arms,
Like these clouds in many forms!
