Writing Rhymes

I see the insecurities that stream in your eyes
As your demons sing to you horrifying lullabies.
I hear the lament of your silent cries
When your glorious dream shrinks & dies.

Behind your masquerade of fake smiles, you’ve often bled
While countless dreams crumbled inside your head.
In your weary veins as depression rapidly spread
A fragment of your soul became numb & dead.

Yet when all your dreams were brutally broken
When your nightmares bloomed & the time seemed frozen.
About your pain to none you’ve ever spoken
Regarding your scars, you gave no token.

Perhaps about your sufferings, none would ever have a clue
Perhaps no mortal can comprehend what you’ve been through.
Though life may have battered your spirit black & blue
I give you a dreamcatcher because I care for you.

When all hope may seem to depart
When everything may appear to fall apart,
